During the 2010-2011 school year, many of our English classes completed a composition defending their choice of a mascot for All Saints Academy. While ASA does have a school song, patron saints, a logo, has trademarked the Maximum Challenge model, and completed a building addition in September of 2011, we do not have a mascot. Our students are enlivened at the idea of adopting a school mascot.
Over the course of 2011-2012 school year, ASA will run a campaign to choose a mascot as follows:
All Saints Day: Kick off for mascot campaign. Mascot nominations from students, faculty, parents, and friends of ASA for their choice of a mascot idea accepted until the feast day of ASA's co-patron, St. Angela Merici (Jan 27) . Students with the most thoughtful nominations will be invited on the Design Selection Committee in the Spring.
Tue 1/31 - Sat 3/31: Mascot Madness voting continues through "Regional" round, with open (public) voting.
Sun 4/1 - Sat 4/14: Holy Week & Easter Week - Pause in tournament play.
Sun 4/15 - Fri 4/20: Mascot Madness Semi-Finals “Final Four". Voting restricted to enrolled families, teachers, and volunteers.
Sat 4/21: Championship Round held at ASA's 3rd Annual Family Formal. Only ASA students vote (1 vote per student). Voting results broadcast live throughout evening.
Sun 4/22 - 6/15: Design Selection Committee (invited teachers and students) to commission artists and select final design.
Mon 6/18: Field Day - Mascot Design Reveal
