The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to the religious formation of children. It is rooted in the Bible, the liturgy of the church, and the educational principles of Maria Montessori. Children gather in an "atrium," a room prepared for them, which contains simple yet beautiful materials they use to help them absorb the most essential proclamations of the Christian faith. All Saints Academy is pleased to announce the completion of a pilot session of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in the Spring of 2011. The 2011-2012 school year will be our first complete year, with a two-hour session on Tuesday afternoons for children in PreK through 2nd grade. Material and financial donations for the Atrium are greatly appreciated and needed.
